| Probate & Estate Administration
Probate is the process of applying through the relevant channels to obtain an order to give the executors of the Will the right to deal with assets and property of the dead person.
When you apply for probate, you are promising the Court that you will administer the estate as set out in the Will and according to the law.
Probate makes sure that executors carry out their task properly.
It can often be a lengthy and complicated task to gather the information needed to obtain probate, often at a time when you do not need additional stress and inconvenience. It may be that you live too far away from the other executors of the Will, or your circumstances have changed since you first agreed to be an executor of the Will.
As you would expect, with our experience, we are extremely efficient when it comes to administering the estates of our clients.
We can take this problem away from you and make the necessary phone calls to companies who hold the assets of the person you are the executors for (such as banks, building societies, investment companies or pension providers amongst other), send faxes and deal with queries in order to make this process as smooth as possible, whilst maintaining contact with your executors throughout.
If you find you have been appointed executor by a friend or relative, but
would prefer not to
carry out your responsibilities, or are not able to cope managing the estate of someone who died without making a Will, we would
be pleased to act on your behalf. We would need one consent of all beneficiaries before we can proceed.
